THINK THIS IS OLD INFO: roundcube is not in official portage yet but should be in the webapps overlay therefor we need layman

# emerge subversion layman
# layman -a webapps-experimental
# echo source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf >> /etc/make.conf
# echo mail-client/roundcube ~* >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
# echo mail-client/roundcube mysql vhosts >> /etc/portage/package.use
# emerge roundcube

START CLIENT INSTALLTION HERE

follow the information provided by the ebuild

# mysql -uroot -p
> create database roundcubemail_web1;
> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON roundcubemail_web''<YOUR WEBID>''.* TO roundcube@localhost IDENTIFIED BY ' ''<password>'' ';
# mysql -uroot -p roundcubemail_web''<YOUR WEBID>'' < /var/www/web1/web/roundcube/SQL/mysql.initial.sql

!!! change /etc/vhosts/webapp-config (see above) before the next command !!!

# webapp-config -I -h www.thinkthinkdo.com -d roundcube roundcube 0.3.1

If you want to upgrade to the latest version you can do (Check for the latest vereion is required before !):

# webapp-config -U -h www.thinkthinkdo.com -d roundcube roundcube 0.3.1

in /var/www/web1/web/roundcube/config/main.inc.php change

$rcmail_config['default_host'] = ''; to $rcmail_config['default_host'] = 'ssl://localhost:993';

in /var/www/web1/web/roundcube/config/db.inc.php change

$rcmail_config['db_dsnw'] = 'mysql://roundcube:<password>@localhost/roundcubemail_web1';
